Floral Fest or Bathakamma Festival

Bathukamma is a vibrant and floral festival celebrated predominantly in Telangana, India, marking the arrival of the monsoon and the beauty of nature. Women create beautiful flower stacks, called Bathukamma, using seasonal flowers arranged in layers. The festival symbolizes the cultural spirit of Telangana and is dedicated to Goddess Gauri, seeking her blessings for prosperity and good health. Women gather in groups to sing, dance, and celebrate around the Bathukamma, making it a joyous and colorful event that highlights unity and tradition. The festival concludes with the immersion of Bathukamma in water bodies.
